May 26, 2017. Dr. Kei Ouchi is featured in an article on the increasing need for palliative care in Emergency Departments and the national lack of palliative specialists. The story was published on Kaiser Health News and NPR.


May 9, 2017. The testing of a program to combat opioid overdose by providing locked cases of naloxone in public places is featured in the New York Times. The efforts are led by several BWH Emergency Medicine physicians.


March 28, 2017. Dr. Ziad Obermeyer  discusses the possibility for big changes in medicine, specifically in predicting death, with new advances in AI technology. The conversation can be found here.


February 2, 2017. Dr. Ziad Obermeyer‘s study, which found that about 10,000 generally healthy older patients die within 7 days of Emergency Department discharge, is featured in several health news websites including UPI and EurekAlert.
