Education

The Division advances health care policy education within Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health. The Division invites interested students and residents to participate in regular meetings, and partner with faculty to pursue research projects. Numerous residents have received intramural and extramural grants under the mentorship of Division faculty. These projects have led to national presentations and peer-reviewed publications. The Division offers a two-year fellowship to train future leaders in health policy research leading to a master’s degree in public health or policy. Major areas of teaching include the relationship between emergency care and:

  • Quality and Patient Safety
  • Current health policy changes
  • Health care finance administration

Fellowship

The Division serves as the home for a Fellowship in Health Policy Research and Translation. Fellows participate in various hospital and Partners-wide policy initiatives.
